Prompt Engineering in 2026: What Still Matters After Reasoning Models and Agentic AI

The 2023 to 2024 prompt engineering playbook was heavy on tricks: let's think step by step, chain-of-thought scaffolds, self-consistency voting, complex few-shot chains. Reasoning models have internalised all of these.
