Learners Ink ("we", "us", "our", or "Learners Ink") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices you have. By using www.learnersink.com, our subdomains, or any of our training services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Learners Ink is a global accredited training provider headquartered in Bengaluru, India, with delivery operations across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Australia and Canada. 2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide: full name, work or personal email, mobile number with country code, country, city or preferred delivery mode, course of interest, employer or industry where you choose to share it, payment instrument details handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay), and any free-text message you submit through enquiry, brochure download, callback request, contact, or checkout forms.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, country, region and city derived from IP, device timezone, browser language, screen resolution and device pixel ratio, user agent, referrer URL, the page you submitted from, and UTM source, medium and campaign parameters where present.
- Information from cohort delivery: attendance records, assignment submissions, mock test scores, exam voucher allocation, and certificate issuance metadata.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies: session cookies for cart and checkout state, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4), and conversion pixels where you have given consent in jurisdictions that require it.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories such as health data, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, biometric identifiers, or genetic data. If you submit such information voluntarily inside a free-text field, we treat it as ordinary personal data and do not process it for any special purpose.
3. Why we collect it: purposes and lawful bases
We use your information for the following purposes, relying on the lawful bases listed in parentheses:
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule a counselling call (legitimate interest, contract preparation).
- To deliver the training, exam voucher, certificate, and related learner support that you purchase (contract).
- To process payments, issue tax invoices and comply with statutory bookkeeping (legal obligation).
- To send service emails about your cohort, schedule changes, study materials and certification milestones (contract).
- To send relevant educational content, batch announcements and offers about courses similar to those you enquired about (legitimate interest, with opt-out in every email; consent where local law requires it).
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents and to defend our rights in disputes (legitimate interest, legal obligation).
- To improve our website, course structure and instructor performance through aggregated analytics (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration, ever.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the following categories of recipients, each under a written confidentiality and data-processing arrangement:
- Accreditation bodies and exam delivery partners (PMI, AXELOS, PeopleCert, Scrum Alliance, IIBA, IASSC, ISC2, EC-Council, AWS, Microsoft) strictly to register you for the exam, allocate the voucher, and report your certification status.
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) for the sole purpose of charging and settling your payment. We do not store full card numbers.
- Communication and CRM platforms used to send transactional and marketing emails, schedule calls, and maintain your record in our customer system.
- Cloud hosting providers, including Lovable Cloud and Supabase, where our database and authentication systems run.
- Professional advisors such as auditors, lawyers and tax consultants under confidentiality obligations.
- Acquirers or successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of business assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply.
- Government authorities and courts where disclosure is required by valid legal process.
5. International transfers
Because our learners and instructors are global, your information may be transferred to and processed in India, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and other jurisdictions where our processors maintain servers. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where available, and equivalent safeguards under the UK IDTA, the UAE PDPL, and the India DPDP Act 2023.
6. Data retention
We retain enquiry data for up to 36 months from your last interaction, learner records for 7 years from cohort completion (to comply with statutory bookkeeping and accreditation audit windows), payment records for 8 years from the financial year of the transaction, and marketing preferences for as long as you choose to remain subscribed. After these periods, data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. EU and UK residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA. Indian residents have rights under the DPDP Act 2023. To exercise any right, email privacy@learnersink.com from the same address you used at enquiry and we will respond within 30 days. We may request reasonable identity verification before fulfilling certain requests.
8. Security
We protect your data using TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access controls, mandatory multi-factor authentication for all staff, network isolation, regular vulnerability scans, and an incident-response runbook. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the relevant authority of any breach within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. Children
Our services are intended for working professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly process personal data of children under 16 (or the equivalent age of consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, write to us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for session, checkout and CSRF protection, and optional analytics cookies to improve content. You can disable optional cookies in our cookie banner where it is shown, or by configuring your browser. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will impair features such as checkout.
11. GDPR notice for EU, EEA and UK visitors
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) and the UK GDPR apply to our processing of your personal data. For this processing:
- Controller: Learners Ink, registered office Bengaluru, India. Contact privacy@learnersink.com.
- EU representative under Article 27 GDPR: appointed and disclosed on written request to privacy@learnersink.com. Until you receive that disclosure, you may also escalate to our Data Protection contact at the same email.
- Lawful bases we rely on: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for training delivery and exam administration; consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for marketing emails and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for fraud prevention, service security and product improvement; legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for accounting, tax and accreditation records.
- Your data subject rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), the right not to be subject to solely automated decision making (Art. 22), and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. We do not carry out automated decision making or profiling that produces legal effects.
- Right to lodge a complaint: you may complain to your local supervisory authority. For UK residents this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). For Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). For Germany, your Land DPA. For France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
- International transfers from EU/UK: when we move personal data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, plus supplementary measures (encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, audit logs). A copy of the SCCs in force for your transfer is available on request.
- Personal data breach notification: we will notify the lead supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of a notifiable breach (Art. 33), and affected data subjects without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms (Art. 34).
- No sale of personal data: we do not sell or rent personal data to third parties in any jurisdiction. We do not share data with advertising networks for cross-context behavioural advertising.

12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our services, or our processors. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the change is material, notify you by email or a banner on the site at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
