- check There is no required prior certificate, educational background, or work experience needed to participate in the CSM course, complete the exam, and receive certification. The Certified Scrum Master course is designed to introduce you to the basics of Scrum, and as such all backgrounds are welcome to join and achieve Scrum Master Certification.

- Attendees must pass a 50 question assessment with a minimum of 74% upon course completion before a certification is issued. Certifying Test is issued directly from Scrum Alliance via email and taken online. 1 retake is included if the student does not pass the first time. There is no cool off period so the retake can be completed immediately. If the student does not pass after the first retake there is a $25 fee for each additional retake.

- A Scrum Master is a Servant Leader, who provides guidance to the team and product owner as well as ensures all practices are followed by team members. The Scrum master removes impediments, addresses all facets of the agile development process and also serves the Organization, product owner, team, and individuals. The Scrum master facilitates planning and helps product owners understand and adhere to scrum techniques and practices. The Scrum master provides guidance, coaching, support and facilitation and helps remove any obstacles that teams may encounter along the way. The Scrum master supports individual efforts, addresses issues that arise and removes obstacles to help individuals be focused and productive.
2: Does Scrum Alliance offer an online/ virtual CSM course?? keyboard_arrow_down
- No, Scrum Alliance believes that understanding Scrum requires a greater level of in-person face to face interactions that cannot be delivered in a virtual environment, therefore classroom presence is mandatory.
3: How do I attain the CSM course certification?? keyboard_arrow_down
- On completion of the 2 day CSM course, you will receive an email from Scrum Alliance with a link to create your login credentials. Then you can Sign in to gain access to the Online CSM Test. Once the test is complete, you will be asked to accept a license agreement. You will then receive the official designation of Certified Scrum Master® (CSM) from Scrum Alliance alongwith a two-year membership with Scrum Alliance.

6: What is the format of the CSM Certification exam?? keyboard_arrow_down
- The test can be taken from anywhere with the help of a computer with an internet connection. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes ( pausing the exam is not possible). There must be atleast 37 correctly answered questions to obtain the passing percentage i.e. 74%.
7: After the CSM training within how many days do I need to take the exam?? keyboard_arrow_down
- After completing your CSM workshop, you will receive an email from Scrum Alliance that includes a link to create your login credentials. After receiving your membership email, you have 90 days to take the test. You will have two attempts within 90 days .After two attempts or 90 days, you will be charged $25 for each additional attempt.
